Meet the Council
The life of our College is overseen by the Council, which is elected and appointed by the Synod of Bishops and the Provincial Synod.

Archbishop Thabo Makgoba – formerly liaison bishop for theological education in the ACSA, the Archbishop is now the Visitor to the College.

As a teacher and a psychologist, Bishop Makgoba sees education of the whole person and stewardship of resources as being of crucial importance. This, and his keen personal interest in theological education, lies behind his work with the College of the Transfiguration.

Bishop Patrick Glover has served our church as deacon, priest and bishop for 38 years, and brings a wealth of experience to his role as chairperson of the College Council.

Bishop Glover undertook his graduate studies in Grahamstown (BA, Rhodes University) before completing an MA at Oxford University, England.
